How to identify adulteration in milk: The demand for milk is increasing rapidly. In such a situation, people are adulterating milk to earn more money. Due to which they are able to sell milk to more people. If you take open milk, you need to be more careful with it. Because small shopkeepers do more of this work.
Mixing water in milk is no longer a big deal. You are being served health hazardous things like starch dissolved in water, urea, detergent, formalin etc. by pretending to be milk. You will not even realize when weakness has replaced strength in your body.
Kidneys may get damaged
Urea is a white taste and odorless chemical, it is used by farmers as fertilizer. If it is mixed in water with some milk then it becomes difficult to tell whether it is milk or not. Its consumption for a long time can have adverse effects on the kidneys, liver and stomach.
How to identify adulterated milk
– Take some milk and mix equal amount of water in it. Now beat it well. If after doing this, colored foam starts appearing then understand that detergent has been mixed in it.
– Add a few drops of iodine solution in milk. If the milk starts appearing blue then understand that starch has been added to it.
Adulterated milk can also be identified with the help of turmeric. For this, pour a few drops of milk in a bowl and add turmeric to it. If the turmeric does not thicken immediately then it is a sign that the milk has been adulterated.
– Take one spoon milk in a small glass. Now add half spoon soybean or pigeon pea powder in it. After 5 minutes add red litmus paper in it. If its color changes from red to blue, then the milk is adulterated.
