DDU Junction: Due to cold and fog, 12 pairs of trains will remain cancelled, frequency of 14 pairs of trains will be reduced. This exercise has been done by East Central Railway to ensure timely and safe operation of trains during cold and fog. In such a situation, passengers should definitely get information about the trains before travelling, otherwise it may become difficult if they do not do so.
Actually, due to cold and fog, trains are continuously running late. In view of this, like every year, this year also the Railways has stopped the operation of 12 pairs of trains from December 1 to February 28. According to the information given by the Railway Department, Up and Down Prayagraj-Muzaffarpur Express will not run till 25th February, Up and Down Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi Kolkata Express will not run till 1st March.

At the same time, Howrah-Dehradun Upasana Express up and down direction will remain canceled till 28th February, Malda Town-New Delhi Express, Barauni-Ambala Harihar Express, Purnia Court-Amritsar Janseva Express will remain canceled till 28th February. Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express will remain canceled till March 1, Gaya-Kamakhya Express till February 24, Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Express till February 27, Hatia-Anand Vihar Express till February 27.

At the same time, Santragachi-Anand Vihar Express will not run till March 3, Tata-Amritsar Express will not run till February 27. Similarly, Gwalior-Barauni Express, Ajmer-Sealdah Express, Howrah-Kathgodam Bagh Express, Kolkata-Amritsar Express, Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Garib Rath Express, Kamakhya-Anand Vihar North East Express will remain canceled for a few days in the week.
Similarly, Alipur-Delhi Sikkim Mahananda Express, New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi Express will also remain canceled several days in the week. Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, said that this decision has been taken to run the trains safely and on time. People should know complete information about trains before travelling, so that no passenger faces any problem.
