Delhi Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Advanced MRI Machine: Neuromodulation and Foot Pressure Analysis Lab has been inaugurated in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi. This is the country’s first MRI machine to test MRI. This is considered to be the most advanced machine for brain treatment in the world.
New Delhi : People used to get MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) done to check even the smallest injuries in the body. Although many times people used to doubt that MRI test, but now a lab to examine MRI test in detail has been inaugurated in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, the largest government hospital of Delhi.
At the same time, the spokesperson and director of the hospital, Professor Medicine Dr. Pulin Kumar Gupta, said that in the country’s first government Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Department, the first unique Neuromodulation Laboratory (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation including Neuronavigation) and Foot Pressure Analysis Laboratory was inaugurated on December 2. He told that Director Dr. Ashok Kumar has inaugurated it. On this occasion, Dr. Vivek Devan (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Kaushal Tyagi (Additional MS) and Dr. Shipra Chaudhary (Head, PMR Department) were present.
Accurate information will be available from MRI image
Pulin Kumar Gupta said that this lab enables to identify the exact physical condition of the patient by integrating the MRI images, so that the doctors can understand the specific parts of the brain with millimeter level accuracy. This technology makes treatment easier through real-time vision guidance and tracking.
He said that through this technology, patients receive non-invasive targeted neuromodulation, which accelerates the process of functional recovery by aiding brain restructuring in conditions like stroke, brain injury, spasticity, chronic pain and movement disorders. It can be said that now the diagnosis of every problem related to the brain will be absolutely accurate and patients will be able to get better treatment. The disease will be caught quickly. In simple language, now patients will be able to get better diagnosis and treatment.
Foot Pressure Analysis Laboratory
He said that the Foot Pressure Analysis Laboratory provides facilities for scientific evaluation of gait, analysis of soleus pressure and investigation of balance disorders. This will provide special benefit to patients with reduced mobility, diabetic foot complications and those suffering from sports injuries. Director Dr. Ashok Kumar said that these state-of-the-art technologies will take the rehabilitation services of the institute to a new level and will give the institute a leading position in the country.
