Faridabad: The air of Faridabad and Gurugram these days is no less than a problem. The morning is accompanied by burning sensation in the eyes, heaviness in the chest, and difficulty in breathing. Haze, dust and poisonous smoke have surrounded the entire area. Now not only cities but villages and farms are also in its grip. Farmers are working day and night in this poisonous air. His vegetables are also drying up and his own health is also deteriorating. The situation is more difficult for farmers working under the open sky. He says that now the fields are not green but are lost in smoke.
The condition of Faridabad-Gurugram is dangerous
Agriculture has also been adversely affected
Now the effect is directly visible on fields and vegetables also. Vegetables like fenugreek, cabbage, spinach are grown in the fields of Faridabad, but the dust and poisonous particles floating in the air have settled on the leaves of the vegetables. Farmers say that the color of vegetables has faded, growth has stopped and due to lack of sunlight, production has also reduced. Their pain is clear, pollution has caused more damage than the market’s impact.
Even the village air is poisonous
Farmer Gyan Chand Saini of Sahupura says that as soon as he reaches the field in the morning, there is a burning sensation in his eyes as if chilli has been put in his eyes. Difficulty in breathing, fog all around, nothing visible. Fenugreek, cabbage, spinach all are affected. Earlier the air of the village was clean, now here too there is fog.
Difficult to breathe
Premvati, who is 60 years old, goes to the fields every morning. She says that breathing has become difficult. There is a burning sensation in the eyes and the head feels heavy. Due to increase in pollution, health is also deteriorating and work has to be done intermittently.
Same is the condition of farmer Urmila. I reach the farm by 10 in the morning when the air is at its worst. Watering of eyes, burning sensation, difficulty in breathing are all happening. A thick layer of dust is accumulating on the leaves of vegetables, due to which the crop is getting spoiled. Now medicines and expenses have also increased.
Fog will increase in the coming days
The poison of air has reached the villages. Farmers are worried… There is no hope of relief at the moment. Experts are also saying that smog will increase further in the coming days. If the situation continues like this, the production of vegetables will further decrease and prices may skyrocket.
when will the air be clear
The vehicles, smoke and dust of the city have now reached the fields. Farmers are worried, fields are lost in fog and the poison in the air is troubling everyone. The question is, when will this air finally become clean? When will farmers and common people heave a sigh of relief? To be honest, now is the time for warning, otherwise this pollution can cause huge losses to both crops and farmers in the future.
