Two nursing students died after being hit by Vande Bharat Express in Bengaluru. Both were students of Saptagiri College. Police have registered UDR and started investigation. Also, the family members have been informed. After the accident, both the bodies have been sent to MS Ramaiah Hospital.
Bengaluru: A moment’s carelessness sometimes stops life where no one had even thought. This incident that took place in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is an example of this bitter truth. A tragic accident happened here when two nursing students died after being hit by the Vande Bharat Express train. According to the police, as soon as they reached the track near Chekkabanavara station, they were hit by a speeding train.
Both of them died on the spot in the incident and their bodies were found in very bad condition on the tracks. The deceased students have been identified as Sterling Elijah Shaji (19) and Justin Joseph (20). Both were from Pathanamthitta district of Kerala and studied in Saptagiri College, Bengaluru. He lived in a paying guest house nearby.
Information is being collected about students
According to the initial statement of the Railways, the accident occurred when both the students were crossing the track while returning to their PG. Vande Bharat train was running at a very fast speed at that time. Officials are currently investigating whether it was just an accident or there could be a possibility of suicide. Bengaluru Rural Railway Police and Yesvantpur Railway Police Station have registered UDR in this case.
Also, information is being collected about both the students. The Railway Department is also conducting a separate internal investigation to find out the cause of this accident. After the accident, both the bodies have been sent to MS Ramaiah Hospital. The police have informed the family members and the family is currently reaching Bengaluru.
