Benefits Of Using Sarpagandha: Sarpagandha is a medicinal plant which is considered very important in Ayurveda. According to Vaidya Nandu Prasad, its root is most useful and gives special benefits in high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety and mental diseases. This 60–90 cm high plant has shiny leaves and small white or pink flowers, but its real medicinal power is found in the root. Sarpagandha root helps in controlling blood pressure, inducing sleep, reducing stress and keeping the mind calm. Traditionally it has been used in the treatment of many mental diseases including madness. It is taken in the form of powder, decoction, tablet or syrup, but should not be consumed without the advice of a physician, as excessive amounts can be harmful.
