Ingredients required to make Soya Kofta Curry
-Soya chunks – 1 cup
-Gram flour – 1 teaspoon
-Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
-Boiled potato – 1
-Green chilli – 2
-Ginger – 1 teaspoon (grated)
-Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
-Garlic – 2-3 cloves
-Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
-salt to taste
-Tomatoes – 2 (finely chopped)
-Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
-Kasuri Methi – 1 teaspoon
-Clove – 1
-Cardamom – 1
-Bay leaf – 1
-Cinnamon – 1 small piece
-Cumin – 1 teaspoon
-Coriander powder – 2 teaspoons
-Garam masala – 1 teaspoon
-Oil or ghee – as per need
-Water – as per need
-Cream – 2 tbsp
How to make Soya Kofta Curry
1. First of all, soak the soya chunks in hot water for 15 minutes. After it becomes soft, squeeze out the water and put it in the mixer. Add green chilli, garlic and ginger to it and grind it.
2. Add boiled potatoes, salt, coriander powder, half teaspoon garam masala and gram flour to this mixture. Mix the mixture well, make small round koftas and fry them.
3. Put oil in a pan. Add cumin, cloves, cardamom, bay leaves and cinnamon in it. Then add finely chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and fry.
4. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Then add coriander powder, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt and garam masala and mix.
5. Add Kasoori Methi and boil lightly after adding water. Now slowly add the fried koftas to the gravy, cover and cook for a few minutes.
6. Finally add cream on top and mix lightly. Your soya kofta curry is ready. Serve it with hot rice, roti or paratha.
