Bihar government has come into active mode to break the back of sand mafia and land mafia in Bihar. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary, the Economic Offenses Unit has formed an STF to dismantle the financial network of illegal sand mining and land mafias.

The special thing related to this STF is that this special task force will be led by DIG Manavjeet Singh Dhillon. On hearing their names, the legs of criminals start trembling. He is considered to be a very strict officer. He also made many revelations in the Economic Offenses Unit and was successful in cracking down on criminals in many cases.

Manavjeet Singh Dhillon is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Bihar cadre of 2009 batch. Originally from Punjab. After joining the Indian Police Service, he has been working in Bihar Police. He has served in many districts of the state and on different posts.

He is counted among the strict administrative officers of Bihar and is also considered a down to earth officer. Dhillon has handled different responsibilities in his career. Be SP in many districts including Samastipur, Munger, Vaishali. Also served on the post of SSP in the capital Patna. At present, he is working as DIG in the Economic Offenses Unit.

We do not tolerate negligence at all in disciplinary matters. For example, while being SP in Vaishali, he had lodged an FIR against 3 DSPs and 66 police personnel who were negligent.

Manavjeet Singh Dhillon’s wife is also an IPS officer. She is married to 2009 Bihar cadre IPS officer Harpreet Singh. Both of them got married in 2011.
