Motihari: A strange story came to light from Motihari, Bihar. Where a man was in jail for four months in the murder case of his wife. He had considered his wife dead, but suddenly the police made such a revelation that everyone was shocked. The woman was caught having fun with her lover in Noida, Delhi NCR. As soon as the news came to light, the husband heaved a sigh of relief and hope for justice arose in his mind.
Areraj Police unraveled this complex case scientifically and exposed such a web of lies which is no less than a film story. Ranjit Kumar of Areraj Nagar Panchayat Ward 10 had lodged a complaint of his wife missing in the month of July. But the matter got complicated when the woman’s maternal family filed a case at Areraj police station, accusing Ranjit, his mother and father of dowry murder and burning the dead body.
This is how the police located the woman
The police took the allegations seriously and searched several cremation grounds from Harsiddhi to Muzaffarpur, but no trace of the body was found. Despite this, under pressure from her maternal side, husband Ranjit was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Ranjit was suffering in jail for four months, while his family was struggling even to earn two meals a day. But meanwhile, Areraj police station in-charge Pratyasha Kumari started doubting the whole case. He decided to investigate using scientific method instead of traditional methods. Based on mobile location, bank transactions, social media activities and technical inputs, the police traced the woman’s location to Delhi-NCR.
The woman herself had created a false story
The woman, whose husband was in jail after believing her to be “dead”, was living comfortably in a flat with her lover, a neighbor from the same village as her mother. Both were arrested on the spot. During interrogation, the woman confessed that she had left home to live with her old lover and created her own “murder story” to escape from the family. Her lie sent her husband to jail and the entire family was ruined. After the revelation of the case, police officers are also surprised as to how a false FIR kept an innocent man behind the bars for four months. It was only due to the vigilance and scientific investigation of police station incharge Pratyasha Kumari that the whole truth came out.
