According to Dr. Jyoti Singh, dietitian of the Medical College, due to empty stomach overnight, tea becomes slightly acidic in the morning, which can lead to intestinal problems and increased acidity. Apart from this, one should avoid drinking tea with paratha or poha, because the caffeine present in tea prevents the absorption of iron. It is better to take tea one hour before or one hour after eating. If you want to drink tea in the morning, then first drink water, lemon water or coconut water and take tea after 20 minutes. Green tea, black coffee and black tea with ginger-basil are also better options.
