Ghani Shanta Devi told that she has shared the easiest method of making sweet potato gulab jamun. First of all, boil the sweet potatoes by adding some water. When it becomes completely soft, turn off the gas and let it cool. Mash the cooled sweet potatoes and add milk powder and a little ghee to it and knead it well like dough. The smoother this dough is, the softer the gulab jamuns will be. Now make small balls from this dough. If you want, you can also make them in the shape of a small cylinder.

Now heat oil in a pan and deep fry the gulab jamuns on low flame till they turn golden-brown. Low flame cooks them completely from inside and gives them crispness from outside. Prepare light syrup by adding water and sugar in a separate pan. When the syrup is ready, add the fried gulab jamuns into it and leave them to soak for 2 to 3 hours, so that they become completely juicy.
When the gulab jamuns are soaked in syrup, cut them lightly and make a little space in between. Now fill mawa, cream and pistachios in it. This stuffing takes the taste of gulab jamun to a whole new height. These Gulab Jamuns made from sweet potatoes are so delicious in taste that after eating them once, you will feel like making them again and again.
