Agriculture News: For farmers doing late sowing of wheat in Bihar, varieties like DBW 187, PBW 752 and PBW 373 are suitable till the end of December. Its yield is up to 60 quintals in 1 hectare.
The time for sowing wheat is almost over across the country including Bihar. Most of the farmers have completed sowing of wheat from the last days of October to the beginning of December. Now they are about to start the first irrigation work. However, there are many farmers who, due to some reason, have not been able to sow wheat and are now in deep despair.
Let us tell you that such farmers do not need to be disappointed, because agricultural scientists have given information about some varieties of wheat, which can be sown till the last days of December.
Dr. Abhishek Pratap Singh, a senior scientist working at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra located in Madhopur of the district, says that the first name among the late sown wheat varieties is DBW 187, which is known by the name Karan Vandana. This variety becomes ready in 120 to 125 days. Gives yield up to 60 quintals in hectare.

PBW 752 is a variety of wheat which can be sown till 28th December. It has more ability to tolerate heat. This is the reason why it can be sown even very late.
PBW 373 is also a variety of wheat, which can be sown till the last days of December. It becomes ripe and ready in 125 days after planting. Farmers of Bihar can also sow this variety very easily.
This variety of wheat is very special, which becomes ripe in just 100 to 105 days of sowing. As far as yield is concerned, its yield per hectare is up to 47 quintals. Farmers of Bihar can sow it till the end of December.
