PF is an important financial security for those doing private jobs, which people use for needs like children’s education, marriage, buying a house or illness. However, the current process of withdrawing PF is lengthy and full of paper formalities. Now the government is going to make this process completely digital, which will make PF withdrawal very easy. According to Union Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, before March 2026, members will be able to withdraw up to 75% of their EPF balance directly through ATM or UPI. It will not be necessary to mention any specific reason in the new system. For this, it will be mandatory to link UAN, Aadhaar, bank account and PAN. However, with increasing facilities, there is also a fear that people will start withdrawing PF even for small needs, which may affect long term savings.
