Patna: As soon as the month of December starts in Bihar, the effect of cold has started increasing rapidly. The morning starts wrapped in a white sheet. Till now visibility has been around 500 meters, but now there is a possibility of it going below this. We are saying this because severe fog will be seen in Bihar. Patna Meteorological Center has issued an alert regarding this. At the same time, the day temperature continues to decline along with the night. Day temperature has dropped in entire Bihar for the third consecutive day. This situation is likely to remain the same throughout the month.
Fog is fog in 23 districts
According to the forecast issued by Bihar Weather Service Center during the next 2 days in parts of West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Jamui, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Khagaria, Munger, Patna, Aurangabad, Nawada, Lakhisarai, Sasaram and Kaimur districts. Light to moderate fog is expected in the morning and night.

Temperature continues to drop
There is a possibility of gradual increase in cold due to westerly weather in the state. The effect of western disturbance is also beginning to be seen. There is a possibility of a drop in the maximum temperature and minimum temperature during 4-5 days. According to Patna Meteorological Centre, there is a possibility of increase in cold from the first week of December. Along with this, moderate speed westerly wind (up to 30 km/hr) is forecast in the state. The minimum temperature in most parts of the state is likely to be between 10-14°C and the maximum temperature is likely to be between 24-28°C.
Temperature continues to drop day and night
In the last 24 hours, the state’s lowest temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Piprasi block of West Champaran district. The night temperature is falling rapidly in the foothill districts of the Himalayas. The minimum temperature in most of the districts of North Bihar has been between 10-13°C. Whereas the districts of South Bihar have seen one degree more.
On the other hand, an interesting situation has been seen in the maximum temperature data. The highest temperature of the day was 28.0 degrees Celsius recorded in Motihari. A slight drop in day temperature was observed during the last 24 hours. A decrease of 0.5 to 3 degrees has been recorded in most of the districts in the maximum temperature. This shows that cold has started showing its effect even during the day.
