Varanasi: With the beginning of the month of December, cold has started showing its havoc. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature of UP has dropped to 5.2 degrees Celsius. Dense fog has also started appearing at many places in the state. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) estimates that there will be a slight drop in the temperature in different districts of the state in December. In such a situation, people will have to take the help of jackets and shawls to avoid this.

According to the information received from the Zonal Meteorological Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will be dry in both the eastern and western divisions of UP on December 2. In such a situation, there will be light to moderate fog in many districts of the state in the morning. IMD forecasts that on Tuesday, Jhansi, Ayodhya, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, Varanasi, Kanpur, Azamgarh, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra, Shamli, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Firozabad, Unnao, Hamirpur, Kaushambi, A blanket of fog will be seen in Bareilly, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sultanpur, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Pilibhit, Moradabad, Sitapur, Bijnor, Kannauj, Mainpuri, Etawah and Lalitpur in the morning. During this period, thin or slightly dense fog may be seen at some places. In the last 24 hours, there was dense fog in Prayagraj with visibility of 400 meters.

Fog will be visible from Lucknow to Noida

If we talk about the state capital Lucknow, a blanket of fog will be visible there in the morning. The Meteorological Department has predicted that today the minimum temperature in Lucknow will be around 12 and the maximum will be around 26 degrees Celsius. A slight decline will also be seen in the coming 2 to 3 days. Apart from this, moderate fog may also be seen in Noida from this morning. It is estimated that today the morning and evening of Noida will be a little colder than the last few days.

Cold and fog will increase gradually
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that a new western disturbance will affect the Western Himalayan region on December 5. Due to which the temperature in UP will fall further in the coming days. With the drop in temperature the cold will also increase here. Let us tell you that due to continuous snowfall in the mountains, there will be a gradual decline in the temperature of UP. Because now northwest winds have started blowing in UP.
