New Delhi. 28 year old Pearl Kapoor has launched India’s first indigenous AI chatbot. This chatbot also works like ChatGPT or Grok. Its name is Kyvex. This is a free-to-use AI answer engine which runs on its own developed Large Language Model i.e. LLM. This platform not only gives questions and answers but also gives insights with deep research and right context. Pearl Kapoor says that Kyvex is a step by which the country can come at par in the world’s AI race. Currently this platform is available on the web, but soon it will also be available on Android, iOS and browser extensions so that access is easy for everyone.
Kapoor believes that India has no dearth of talent, all that is needed is the integration of right technology and resources. With this thinking, he developed Kyvex as a completely ‘Made in India’ project, in which former director of IIT Delhi, Prof. Ramgopal Rao and former director of IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Big names like PP Chakrabarti are also associated.

How does Kyvex work and what is different from ChatGPT
Kyvex is a research-grade AI platform that is not limited to just providing answers. It also includes the credibility, context, and depth of the source with each answer. While chatbots like ChatGPT focus on conversation, Kyvex focuses on knowledge exploration and academic support. This means that the user can not only chat but also get research and fact-based answers here. According to the company, Kyvex’s LLM (Large Language Model) has been completely designed and trained in India. This has improved data security, local language support and authenticity of research output. You can also see other AI chatbots on Kyvex. That means you can also talk to AI bots like ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini on this platform.
What are AI Chatbot and LLM?
AI chatbots are tools that are capable of talking and giving information like humans. These are based on Large Language Model i.e. LLM. LLM is a kind of data-based intelligent engine that trains from billions of sentences, books and internet content. For this reason, these systems are able to understand the questions and give accurate answers. Kyvex claims to have developed LLM itself, making it India’s first completely indigenous research-grade AI engine.
Gamechanger for India’s AI startups
The launch of Kyvex is not just a product but a direction for India. Till now most of the AI tools came from abroad, but Kyvex has shown that India can create its own tech and compete at the global level. Free access to Kyvex can increase the pace of innovation in education, research and industry sectors. Both startups and universities will benefit from this. And if the company’s vision is successful, then in the coming years India will not only be an AI user but will also become a tech creator.
