There is good news for thousands of people living in many areas including Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and traveling by train daily. Their train will not stop on the way, it will reach the office or other work place on time. A new double railway line will be built from Delhi to Shamli. New Delhi. There is good news for thousands of people living in many areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and traveling by train daily. Their train will not stop on the way, it will reach the office or other work place on time. A new double railway line will be built from Delhi to Shamli. This was announced by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself. Along with this, he flagged off two new MEMU train services between Delhi and Shamli at Baraut station. This was a long standing demand of the people of the area, which was fulfilled today.
On this occasion, Ashwini Vaishnav said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian Railways is continuously making efforts for better service to the passengers. With the start of two new MEMU services between Delhi and Shamli, daily passengers, students, farmers and professionals of this region will get convenience in commuting. He told that Shamli station is being made modern and world class at a cost of Rs 25 crore under ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’. Along with this, when Vaishnav announced the doubling of Delhi-Shamli section, the crowd present at Baraut station welcomed it with applause.
Vaishnav said that 5272 kilometers of new tracks have been built in Uttar Pradesh since 2014, which is equal to the total rail network of Switzerland. Hundred percent electrification of railway lines has been done in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, after the year 2014, 1460 flyovers and road under bridges have been built in Uttar Pradesh. For the convenience of passengers, 154 lifts and 156 escalators have been installed at various stations, WiFi facility has been provided at 771 stations. Currently 34 Vande Bharat Express and 26 Amrit Bharat Express trains are being operated in Uttar Pradesh.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary, Baghpat MP Rajkumar Sangwan, former MP Dr Satyapal Singh, Legislative Council member Mohit Beniwal, Assembly member Krishna Pal Malik and Baraut Municipality Chairperson Babita Tomar were present.
