Rishikesh: Today’s weather in Uttarakhand is changing with cold. Recently, there were cold winds and fog in the state, now the Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be rain or snowfall in many high and mountainous areas. In such a situation, not only cold but also the effects of snow, frost and moisture can be seen. Be it plains or mountains, there will be instability of weather in both the places. In this change, along with the drop in temperature, the difference between day and night temperature is also likely to increase.
morning weather and temperature
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the temperature will be very low in the plains of Uttarakhand on 5th December in the morning. In low lying areas like Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, the minimum morning temperature can be between 5°C to 8°C. The temperature in the hilly areas is likely to drop further by 2°C to 5°C. Cold wind and if the place is at high altitude, light mist or fog will make the weather even colder. Frost or tingling cold may be felt on the road.
In the afternoon the sun will boil or there will be light sunshine. Because of this, the temperature may feel slightly warmer. The maximum day temperature in the plains is likely to reach around 18°C to 21°C. This can provide some relief after the morning cold. Even in hilly areas, the temperature during the day can range from 8°C to 12°C, which will be normal or mildly warm in terms of hilly winter. However, if it starts raining or snowing, the temperature will start falling again and it may feel cold even during the day.
drop in temperature at night
As the evening approaches, the temperature will again start falling rapidly. The temperature in the plains may reach around 8°C–10°C in the evening and is likely to fall to 4°C–6°C at night. In hilly areas the night temperature can go up to 0°C–2°C. Especially if it rains or snows. Due to moisture and frost in the air, the feeling of cold will become more intense. According to meteorologists, the effect of snowfall or frost can be seen in the mountainous areas as soon as night falls, due to which the roads can become slippery. Even in the plains, fog or mist may prevail in the morning and evening.
