Indigo Flight Cancellation Crisis LIVE Updates: Due to the IndiGo crisis, the flight cancellations that have been going on for the last four days have left the passengers in distress. The situation worsened to such an extent that Home Minister Amit Shah had to intervene and talk to the Civil Aviation Ministry. After this, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu himself had to take charge to bring flight cancellations, hours-long delays, route disruptions and chaos at airports back on track. After this, Indigo officials were once again questioned. In the meeting, the Aviation Minister appeared dissatisfied with Indigo’s stance. Necessary guidelines were given in the meeting to normalize the situation.
Meanwhile, the Aviation Minister also made it clear that no one can force us. After the situation becomes normal, action will be taken against Indigo and heavy fine will also be imposed. After this, IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers came forward and while apologizing he admitted that more than 1000 flights of the airline were canceled on 5 December. The IndiGo CEO admitted that multiple technical and staffing challenges across its operational chain led to problems in flight operations. The airline said that it may take a few days.
