Delhi MCD By Election Result: The results of counting of votes for MCD by-elections have come. BJP has won 7 out of 12 seats in Delhi, while Aam Aadmi Party dominated on 3 seats. In Dakshinpuri ward, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate had a lead from the beginning, which later turned into victory. Ramswaroop Kanojia has become a councilor from here.
Delhi MCD By Election Result: The results of counting of votes in 12 wards of Delhi Municipal Corporation have come. In the initial trends from Dakshinpuri ward, BJP candidate Rohini was lagging behind, who later lagged behind in the results and the victory went to the Aam Aadmi Party candidate. Here AAP’s Ramswaroop Kanojia has won the councilor election.
This seat had become vacant after Councilor Prem Chauhan became MLA from Deoli Assembly. BJP has appointed former mayor Jai Prakash as the coordinator of Dakshinpuri ward, while Deputy CM Pravesh Verma was given the command of the elections here. However, despite a lot of hard work, the results did not go in favor of BJP and the promises did not work. BJP has suffered loss on these two seats.
Who are the candidates?
BJP has given ticket to a woman candidate in Dakshinapuri ward, Rohini Raj is contesting from here. Whereas Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to Ramswaroop Kanojia and Congress to Vikram. In all these, Ramswaroop Kanojia has the upper hand.
