Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has released the schedule of intermediate practical examination. Practical will be in two phases. In the first phase, the examination will be held in 10 divisions from 24 January 2026 to 1 February 2026. These mandals include Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan and Basti mandals. However, in the meantime there will be no examinations on 29 and 30 January 2026. UPTET exam is to be held in these two days.
In the second phase, the examination will be held from February 2 to February 9. In the second phase, the examination will be held in 8 divisions, Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur divisions. This time the practical examination is being conducted late due to Magh Mela and bathing festivals of Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya.
Examination under CCTV surveillance
UP Board has said that the practical examination will be held under CCTV surveillance. The Principal will keep the recording of the conduct of examinations safe. Recording will have to be made available if required.
high school practical exam
Like last year, high school practical examinations will be conducted on the basis of internal assessment i.e. project work at the school level. Individual high school candidates will contact the principal of their forwarding center to ensure their participation in the practical examination. The marks of practical examination of high school, internal assessment, moral, yoga, sports and physical education and marks of intermediate moral, yoga, sports and physical education will be uploaded online on the website of UP Board through the Principal of the school. The website will be activated from January 10, 2026 to upload the marks on the website.
Intermediate Pre Board Practical Exam
Pre-board practical examinations of class 12 to be conducted at the school level will be conducted by the Principal of the school in the first week of January 26. Whereas the pre-board written examinations of class 10 and 12 will be held in the second week of January 2026. Whereas, the annual examinations of classes 9 and 11 will be conducted by the school principal in the last week of January 2026 and the first week of February 2026.

This time the high school and intermediate examinations of UP Board for the year 2026 will be conducted between 18th February to 12th March. Including high school and intermediate, 52 lakh 30 thousand 297 candidates are registered. In which 27 lakh 50 thousand 945 candidates are registered in high school and 24 lakh 79 lakh 352 candidates are registered in intermediate.
