Investigation revealed that a quack operated on the woman in the name of removing the stones, but the stones were not removed; instead, while intoxicated, he even cut the stomach, small intestine and food pipe. The woman groaning in pain finally died. On Tuesday, the police registered a case in the matter. At the same time, the Health Department has pasted a notice on the illegal hospital.

Fateh Bahadur, resident of Dafrapur Majra Saidanpur of Kothi, said that on the afternoon of December 5, when his wife suffered severe stomach pain, he took her to Shri Damodar Dispensary Hospital located in Kothi Bazaar. The hospital is run by Gyan Prakash Mishra and Vivek Mishra, residents of Kothi. According to the victim, Gyan Prakash told that the cost of the operation was about Rs 25 thousand and the deal was finalized for Rs 20 thousand. It is alleged that after taking the money, Gyan Prakash, under the influence of alcohol, started the operation on his wife Munishra Rawat by watching videos on YouTube. During this, with gross negligence, he cut many veins and made deep incisions in the stomach.

A woman suffering from pain died

The next day in the evening, suffering from pain, Munishra died in the hospital itself. As soon as the woman died, hospital director Gyan Prakash and his family ran away, leaving the woman in the same condition. On information, police reached the spot and took stock of the incident. The post-mortem was conducted by a panel of doctors. The victim’s husband reached Kothi police station on December 9 and filed a case against the two operators Gyan Prakash Mishra and Vivek Mishra under culpable homicide and SC/ST Act.

Police busy searching for the accused

The victim described the hospital as completely fake and said that the accused do not even have any kind of medical degree. On Tuesday, ACMO Dr. L.B. Gupta and CHC Siddhaur in-charge Dr. Sanjay Pandey reached the illegal hospital and pasted a notice asking the operator to reply within a week. Kothi police station incharge Amit Singh Bhadauria said that the complaint given by the husband of the deceased and the CHC doctor is being included in a single case. Teams have been formed to search for the accused, arrests will be made soon.
