Yesterday, in the Dragon Boat National Championship going on in Maharashtra, Bihar brought glory to the state by winning the gold medal. Whereas, due to the representation of this team and their better performance, these two girls from Purnia were successful in winning the medal.

Won gold medal in these two categories

The girls of Purnia are full of talent. The girls coming from the Purnia tribal community have succeeded in winning the gold medal with their talent. Giving the same information, Shubham Anand, Secretary of Rugby Football and Dragon Boat Championship of Purnia, said that the Bihar Dragon Boat team performed brilliantly and won the gold medal in the Dragon Boat National Championship going on in Nanded, Maharashtra.

Whereas he said that he created history by winning gold medals in both 1000 meters and 500 meters categories. Expressing happiness over the team’s victory, he said that Roopa Tirkey and Kareena Tirkey of Purnia were also important parts of the Bihar team. Their talent and excellent performance of both the players played a big role in the team winning the gold and Bihar won the gold medal.

Rupa Tirkey and Kareena Tirkey, residents of the farmer family of Purnia, have succeeded in winning the gold medal for the Bihar team with their talent. Regarding their success and excellent game, Seema Oraon of Purnia (former Women Commission member), Birendra Kumar Oraon (President, Purnia Division Tribal Student and Youth Committee), Vikram Tirkey (Vice President), Vikas Soren, Kamlesh Tirkey, Chandan Congratulating Tirkey, Ajay Oraon, Sanjay Soren, Anjesh Kujur, Sagar Oraon, Naveen Lakra and Monica Tuddu, they said that this achievement of Bihar is not only the result of the dedication of the players but is also a proof of the growing sports culture in the state.
