Bihar Cabinet Decision: Important proposals related to urban development were also approved in the Nitish cabinet meeting. The plan to develop new satellite townships and greenfield townships in a total of 11 cities including Patna, Sonpur, Sitamarhi has received Cabinet approval.
Patna. After the formation of the new government in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held the first cabinet meeting. Major decisions based on industry and employment were approved in the Nitish cabinet meeting. A total of 10 agendas were approved in the first meeting of Bihar Cabinet. After the meeting, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, while giving a press briefing, said that today’s meeting was completely focused on “laying down the network of industries and generating employment in large numbers”. The state government aims to make Bihar the biggest tech hub of Eastern India in the next five years.
The Chief Secretary said that the Cabinet has taken steps towards establishing Bihar as a global back-end hub and global workplace under the “New Age Economy”. For this, a high-level committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, which will submit its report to the government within six months. On the basis of the recommendations of this committee, major policies related to industry and investment will be implemented.
Bihar will move ahead in the field of AI
Employment has been kept as the biggest priority in the government’s agenda. Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit said that the government will take support in increasing employment to the youth who set up startups and new entrepreneurship opportunities will be provided to the youth. Along with this, the Cabinet has also approved the establishment of ‘Bihar Artificial Intelligence Mission’ for the expansion of technology based employment in Bihar. With this, there is a plan to develop the state as a leading state in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Satellite and greenfield townships in 11 cities
Important proposals related to urban development were also approved in the cabinet meeting. The plan to develop new satellite townships and greenfield townships in a total of 11 cities including Patna, Sonpur, Sitamarhi has received Cabinet approval. 9 divisional headquarters cities and Sitapuram will be built in Sonpur and Sitamarhi. Its objective is to create modern urban infrastructure, attract investment and create new employment opportunities. The cabinet decisions also include a big decision regarding the closed sugar mills. 9 closed government sugar mills in Bihar will be reopened. Along with this, consent has been given to start a total of 25 sugar mills. The government believes that this will strengthen industry, agriculture-based employment and the rural economy.
Assembly session will start from December 1
Apart from this, the cabinet decided that the winter session of Bihar Assembly will run from December 1 to December 5. Newly elected MLAs will be administered the oath on the first day of the session. The Chief Secretary said that the Nitish cabinet has approved a total of 10 agendas, which are directly related to employment, industry, technology, urban development and the interests of the youth. The first meeting has made it clear that the new government will work at a fast pace in the coming months for large-scale industrial investment and tech-based employment.
