Former BBC Radio 1 and Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood appeared in court for his first hearing since he was charged with four counts of rape last month.
The 68-year-old has also been charged with nine counts of indecent assault and two of sexual assault. Three of the accounts of indecent assault are alleged to have taken place in BBC studios in the 1990s.
The charges related to seven women, some as young as 17, and the allegations spanned from 1983 to 2016.
Westwood was granted bail at a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday. He has not yet been asked to plead guilty, but has previously denied allegations of misconduct.
Dressed in a dark gray shirt at the hearing, he spoke to confirm his full name, address and date of birth.
He was released on bail, with the condition that he not contact the prosecution witnesses.
His case will next be heard at Southwark Crown Court on December 8.
