Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025: There are many earners in the world, but the number of people who donate or help others is less. EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List has prepared a list, in which the donated amount of the rich of India has been disclosed. Business tycoons like Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani are also included in the list. Let us see who is ahead of whom in terms of earning as well as donating?
According to the list, the top 5 rich people of the country have donated a total of Rs 10,380 crore so far this year, which is 85 percent more than the last three years. At number one in the list is Shiv Nadar, founder of the country’s biggest IT company HCL Tech, and his family, who have donated Rs 2708 crore in 2025. With this, he is at the top of the list for the fourth consecutive time in five years. It is clear from this that Shiv Nadar donated an average of Rs 7.4 crore per day, which is 26 percent more than last year. Most of this amount came from Shiv Nadar Foundation, which promotes art and culture along with education. Shiv Nadar donated a total of Rs 10122 crore in five consecutive years. Most of this money was spent in the field of education.
Adani-Ambani at what number?
According to the list, Reliance Industries Chairperson Mukesh Ambani has become the second most philanthropic person in the list by donating Rs 626 crore in the financial year 2025. This donation represents an increase of 54 percent compared to last year. Ambani family made most of the donations through Reliance Foundation. With this, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani donated Rs 386 crore in 2025. In the last five years, the Chairman of Adani Group donated a total of Rs 1408 crore through his Adani Foundation, which was mostly spent on education.
