It is said that a 56-year-old man did this stunt to grab the pension of his deceased mother. He himself dressed up as his 82-year-old late mother Graziella Dall’Oglio and reached the government office. But the dress, make-up and unusual behavior of the ‘woman’ immediately raised suspicion in the mind of a government employee.
The government employee showed wisdom and immediately informed the police, after which this entire terrible conspiracy was exposed and the decomposed and hidden body of the mother was recovered from the house. Let us tell you that in 2022, Graziella Dall’Oglio died at the age of 82. Meanwhile, his 56-year-old son, who worked as a nurse in Mantua city, later lost his job. In such a situation, Graziella’s son decided to turn the shock of his mother’s death into an opportunity. He did not give official information about his mother’s death to the authorities and hatched a nefarious plan to get her pension. He hid his mother’s body in the house itself. He first wrapped the body in a sheet, then put it inside a sleeping bag and hid it in a secret place in the house, so that he could continue earning money on his mother’s government benefits. During this time he had accumulated approximately £47,000 (approximately ₹50 lakh) from pensions and income from three family-owned houses.

For this, the man himself decided to impersonate his mother, Graziella. He made complete preparations to make his ‘farce’ successful. The media described her disguise as similar to the 1993 hit film ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’, in which Robin Williams disguises herself as an old woman to meet her children. The accused had also got his hair cut short like his mother, so that he could look exactly like Graziella. When this man presented himself as his mother in a government office, he immediately caught the attention of an employee.

The government employee immediately became suspicious of him. Borgo Virgilio mayor Francesco Aporti later told the press that ‘Graziella’s thin voice and unusually thick neck struck him as strange. Apart from this, on closer inspection the skin of her hand did not look like that of an 85 year old woman. Upon becoming suspicious, the employee immediately called the police. Officials later compared the photographs, realizing they had been duped. The police immediately reached the house, where they found the decomposed body of Graziella hidden inside the laundry room of the house. The mayor told that the mother’s body had become like that of a mother. Graziella’s body has been taken to the mortuary for postmortem, so that the actual cause of death can be known. The police have arrested the son on charges of illegally hiding the dead body and government benefit fraud.
