In Thailand, a 65-year-old woman was considered dead and kept in a coffin for cremation, but as soon as she reached the temple, the sound of a thump coming from inside the coffin startled everyone.
Sometimes life shows such miracles which are difficult to believe. A similar shocking case came to light in Thailand, where a 65-year-old woman was considered dead and her family members placed her in a coffin, took her to the temple, preparations were made for her last rites, but at the very moment when her body was about to be burnt, a thumping sound came from inside the coffin. The family’s heart felt as if the woman was alive! Hearing all this may remind you of any movie scene, but this entire incident actually happened.
Actually, 65-year-old Chonthirot, living in Phitsanulok, northern area of Thailand, was bedridden for two years. According to the Daily Mail, on the morning of 23 November, her family noticed that she was not breathing. As per local custom, the family informed the doctor and authorities, and he was declared dead. His younger brother also signed the official document of his death. The family felt that their sister had left this world peacefully.
Traveled 4 hours to perform the last rites
After being declared dead, the family kept him in a white coffin as per traditional customs and because of his poverty, he was taken to a temple where free cremation facilities are available for poor people. The family traveled for about 4 hours to reach that temple. When the family reached that temple, no one could believe what happened.
The sound of knocking started coming from inside the coffin
As soon as the pickup truck reached the temple and the coffin was lowered to take it inside, a temple employee heard a light knocking sound from inside. When he removed the cloth and opened the lid, he saw that Chonthirot was conscious, breathing slowly and nodding her head lightly. The employee expressed surprise and said, “I have never seen such a scene before… She was really alive.” After this, an ambulance was immediately called and he was taken to Bang Yai Hospital in Bangkok. The temple administration announced to bear the entire expense of his treatment.
