New Delhi. Australia’s leading airline company Qantas has released the first picture of its ultra long range Airbus A350-1000ULR. 22 hour journey related to ‘Project Sunrise’
Qantas has ordered 12 units of this special aircraft, which are part of its ambitious ‘Project Sunrise’. Under this project, the East Coast of Australia will be directly connected to London and New York. These flights will last approximately 22 hours and will save 4 hours compared to the existing one-stop route. Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson said that this aircraft will change the boundaries of international air travel and will give a completely new dimension to the passenger experience.
Increase in domestic and international business
Qantas has said in its latest financial forecast that its domestic revenue could increase by about 3 percent in the first half of this year. Although there is a slight decline in business travel, a steady growth of 2-3 percent is expected in the international segment. Additionally, the growth of the Qantas Loyalty Program also remains strong.
New ‘Economy Plus’ experience for passengers
Qantas has announced the launch of a new ‘Economy Plus’ cabin product for domestic and short haul flights. In this, passengers will get the facility of extra legroom, priority boarding and overhead luggage space. From February, this option will be purchasable for passengers, while elite members will get free access. The company believes that the new facilities will give a new level to both the convenience and experience of the passengers.
