CRPF jawan Sujit Kumar Singh martyrdom in Kashmir: When the mortal remains of 27-year-old CRPF jawan Sujit Kumar Singh, resident of Devipur of Markachho block, reached the village. So thousands of people gathered to pay their last respects. Sujit, selected in 2023, had returned to duty after getting married six months ago. His martyrdom while on duty in Kashmir left the family and the region in mourning. Sujit’s sacrifice will always be remembered.
Koderma: The seemingly normal house of Devipur village of Markachho block of the district was where the joys of marriage had resounded just a few months ago. On Friday, there was disappointment on everyone’s face. When the dead body of 27-year-old Sujit Kumar Singh, the son of a CRPF jawan posted in Kashmir, reached his house with CRPF officers and jawans.

Sujit’s elder brother CRPF jawan Vikas Kumar told that since childhood he had a desire to serve the country. He was selected in CRPF in the year 2023. And since then he had become a part of many difficult missions. The family members were always worried about his safety, but Sujit would always smile and say, mother, I am standing for the country, don’t worry.
He told that he had talked to the family on phone just an hour before martyrdom. Sujit was married in May 2025 in Bhatdiha of Giridih district. A few days after the marriage, he left his wife in the village and returned to duty. He always kept his feelings behind his responsibility. According to family members, the entire family was immersed in grief when the news of martyrdom came around 12 o’clock on Thursday night. The atmosphere was heavy with the pitiful cries of Sujit’s wife and mother.
Crowd of people gathered for the last journey
When Sujit’s mortal remains reached his village on Friday morning, a crowd of thousands gathered. Local police and administrative officials bid farewell respectfully. People were feeling both proud and sad after seeing their son wrapped in the tricolor. Sujit’s last rites were performed with full respect. Sujit’s martyrdom shocked not only his family but the entire area. But at the same time it also proved that the soldiers who protect the country are not just of one family but the sons of the entire nation. Sujit’s bravery, dedication and courage will remain an inspiration for the coming generations. His sacrifice will always be remembered.
