Faridabad: As soon as you step out of the house in the morning, if you feel burning sensation in your eyes, burning sensation in your throat or difficulty in breathing, then understand that the air is bad. Today there is a similar atmosphere in Faridabad and Gurugram. The air quality index is continuously falling in both the cities and the surprising thing is that the air level is completely different in different parts of the same city.
The situation in Faridabad is bad
The average AQI in Faridabad today was between 170 to 290. It falls in the category of moderate to poor and unhealthy air, but in some areas the situation is even worse. AQI in Sector 16A reached 392 which is downright dangerous. Whereas in New Industrial Town, 214 was recorded which is considered serious. On the other hand, AQI in Sector 30 was only 78, which means the air there is fine at the moment. Imagine, the air changes completely in just a few kilometres.
Difficult to breathe
The condition of Ballabhgarh looked worse, here AQI remained around 300. Living in such poisonous air is very harmful for children, elderly people and people who have breathing or heart problems. People who work outside and travel daily are the most troubled.
The condition of Gurugram is also not good
Now if we talk about Gurugram, the situation here too is not special. The average AQI was between 170 to 295 which is unhealthy. In Sector-51, 234 was recorded, in other places it reached 160 and at some places it reached 312. The wind of each sector is telling a different story. At some places the situation is under control and at some places even breathing is difficult.
what is the reason
Why is there so much difference in AQI? The reasons are clear: excessive traffic, industrial area, continuous construction, lack of trees and wind direction. Where there are more vehicles and factories, there is more pollution.
be careful
In such a situation, people will have to be careful themselves. Wear a mask when you go out, do not let children play in the open and do not go out when the air is bad. Clean air is everyone’s right, but for this, along with the administration, we also have to understand our responsibility. Only then will the situation improve.
