Bareilly. National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has accused Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav of misleading Muslims about the SIR process. He said that even during the time of CAA and NRC, Samajwadi Party leaders had gone among the Muslim community and intimidated them.
Speaking to news agency IANS, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi said, “The Election Commission released the blueprint of the SIR process to correct the voter list. Thousands of government employees worked in it and brought it to completion. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav says that in this Hindu-Muslim is being converted and votes are being cut. Whereas the aim of the Election Commission is to correct the voter list. But Akhilesh Yadav has also made the difference between Hindu-Muslim in this. Found the angle.”
Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi termed Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations of cutting Muslim votes in SIR as false and baseless. He alleged that Akhilesh Yadav is misleading and intimidating Muslims. The reality is that Muslims gave proof of responsibility in the SIR.
He said that I am telling the ground reality that Muslims fulfilled their responsibility and participated enthusiastically. Get all the forms corrected. Maulana Razvi also said that lakhs of Indian Muslims work in Arab countries. In the SIR, he has also given proof of his responsibility and submitted the form through his family. I believe that this is the first time in the history of India that Muslims played their role.
Shahabuddin Rajavi Barelvi claimed that Hindus were negligent and lax in SIR, due to which their votes were less and Muslims got more votes. He said, “Muslims fulfilled the responsibility and Hindu brothers did not fulfill the responsibility. They remained lethargic and careless.”
