Mother became support, daughter got new life
Basanti Devi is a resident of Sindri assembly constituency of Dhanbad district. Due to having no hands since birth, he has to face criticism and contemptuous glances from the society. When she was young, people even advised her mother to kill her. But the mother did not lose courage and gave Basanti a chance to live and move forward. Today the same Basanti is carrying the entire financial responsibility of her family on her shoulders and is living her life with respect.
Has given education to more than 100 children
Basanti completed her early education from Rajendra High School, Shahpura Bazar (FCI). After this he completed his further studies from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College. The financial condition of the house was weak, so he started giving tuition by going to the quarters and houses of Sindri. Basanti tells that she had only one goal since childhood. One day, become a teacher and bring change in the society and make every child understand the importance of education. Basanti’s hard work bore fruit and in the year 2005, she was appointed as a para-teacher in Rodabandh Upgraded Middle School of Sindri. For the last 18 years, she has been teaching more than 100 children from classes 1 to 8 in this school. Basanti writes on the blackboard with her feet. Check the copy. Para-teacher for 20 years
Basanti says no work is small or big. All that is required is to complete it with honesty and integrity. I want to tell the disabled people not to give up under any circumstances. Whatever talent you have. Try to improve it, only then success will kiss your feet. An important dream of Basanti is still unfulfilled. After working as a para-teacher for 20 years, she now aspires to become a government teacher. She says that if the government and district administration pay attention to her, then she too can contribute better to the welfare of society and children by becoming a regular government teacher.
