Saras Food Festival Delhi: Saras Food Festival is being held at Sundar Nursery Delhi from 29 November to 9 December. Which includes traditional dishes from 25 states and 200 women entrepreneurs. A unique confluence of food and culture will be seen here. People can enjoy cuisines from 25 states from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm in the beautiful nursery located near Humayun’s Tomb.
Delhi: This weekend is going to be even more special for the people of Delhi. Because Saras Food Festival, a unique confluence of taste and culture, has started in Sundar Nursery from Saturday. This festival organized by the Ministry of Rural Development will run from 29 November to 9 December. In which women from all over the country are presenting traditional dishes of their respective states. This program is not only a celebration of food, but also gives an opportunity to know and understand India’s diverse culture, rural traditions and women’s entrepreneurship. A large number of people from Delhi and surrounding areas come to this program every year and this time too the enthusiasm is clearly visible.
62 stalls and tastes from 25 states
More than 200 women entrepreneurs associated with self-help groups from across the country are participating in the festival. A total of 62 stalls have been set up, out of which 50 will be live food stalls where food can be seen being prepared and 12 stalls will be for natural and organic food items.
Popular dishes from 25 states are attracting people in the festival. Dal-Bati-Churma of Rajasthan, Fish Curry of Bengal, Hyderabadi Biryani of Telangana, Litti-Chokha of Bihar, Malabar Biryani of Kerala, Mustard Greens-Makki Roti and Chole-Bhatura of Punjab, Mushroom Momos of Assam, Vada Pav-Misal Pav of Maharashtra, Parathas and Kebabs of Uttar Pradesh, Bajra Khichdi of Haryana, Bamboo Rice of Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha Dishes like Tandoori dishes of Gujarat, Dhokla of Gujarat and Fish Curry and Prawn Fi of Goa are introducing people to the taste of different states.
