Unnao News: During the Special Intensive Revision ‘SIR’ campaign in Unnao district, a large scale truncation has been done in the voter list. So far, more than 2 lakh 23 thousand names have been removed from the list in the verification and digitization done by the administration. According to officials, this number may increase further after digitization is completed.
Unnao: These days, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of the Voter List is going on at a rapid pace by the Election Commission in UP. During this period, after door-to-door verification and digitization in Unnao, a large number of names have been removed from the voter list.
After distribution of all calculation forms, about 72.83 percent digitization work has been completed so far. During this period, names of 2 lakh 23 thousand 314 people have been removed from the voter list. According to the administration, this retrenchment happened because many people had permanently shifted to another place, many were not found at their homes during verification and a large number of dead voters were also confirmed.
Data of people left out of the list
According to government figures, the deaths of 63,406 people have been officially confirmed. At the same time, 22,373 people were not present in their homes during verification, after which they were removed from the list. The largest number are those who have gone somewhere else permanently. 1,04,106 such voters have been found. Their information was recorded on the basis of related reports and local verification.
The number may increase further
ADM Sushil Kumar Gond said that this entire campaign is being run to correct and update the voter list. Digitization work is currently underway and as the process progresses, the number of removed names may increase further.
At present, a total of 23 lakh 25 thousand 53 voters are registered in six tehsils of the district. Out of which more than 2 lakh 23 thousand voters have been excluded from the list, which is a huge number in itself.
