Cough Syrup Syndicate: ED raids on all 25 locations in four states in the cough syrup smuggling case ended on Saturday. The ED team has also returned from the house of syndicate mastermind Shubham Jaiswal in Varanasi. According to ED sources, Rs 2 crores have been spent on the interior decoration of Shubham Jaiswal’s house.
Lucknow: ED has summoned Shubham Jaiswal, the mastermind of the codeine-rich cough syrup smuggling syndicate. ED has asked Shubham Jaiwal to appear in the office in Lucknow on 15th December. Earlier, ED had also summoned Shubham Jaiswal on 8th and 12th December. But he did not appear. If you do not appear on the third notice on Monday, legal action will be taken.
Shubham got interior decoration done for Rs 2 crore
ED raids at all 25 locations in four states in the cough syrup smuggling case ended on Saturday. The ED team has also returned from the house of syndicate mastermind Shubham Jaiswal in Varanasi. According to ED sources, Rs 2 crores have been spent on the interior decoration of Shubham Jaiswal’s house. The cost of interior decoration and other things of the house is being ascertained from the valuer. ED raid on Shubham’s warehouse in Ranchi has also ended. Information about 189 firms has been found in the raid. In the initial investigation, 189 firms are being declared fake. ED is collecting information about the transactions done through these firms.
ED also raids Shubham Jaiswal’s CA house
ED’s raid at the location of chartered accountant Vishnu Aggarwal in Varanasi has also ended. Information about 140 firms has been received from the locations of Vishnu Aggarwal. ED is also collecting information about these firms. ED raids on Vibhor Rana’s house and office in Saharanpur have also been completed. Information about 125 firms has been found in the raid. The transactions done through these firms are being considered suspicious.
ED raid ends in Ahmedabad also
ED is collecting details of bank accounts of these firms. ED raid on Arpic Pharma and its associated Idhika Life Sciences in Ahmedabad has also ended. Information about suspicious transactions has been received through both the companies. ED has seized two mobile phones of the directors of these companies. ED says that Rs 1000 crore has been earned through this entire syndicate.
