Tesla India Head Sharad Agarwal: The world’s leading car manufacturer Tesla wants to ensure its place in India. For this, recently Sharad Agarwal has been made the India head of Tesla by Tesla. Sharad Aggarwal has previously worked as the country head of Lamborghini India.
Besides, he has also had experience of working in big companies like Classic Legends. The company is expecting Sharad Aggarwal to contribute in establishing the company in India. Tesla is still in the initial stages of expanding its business in India.
Both challenge and opportunity are ahead
Sharad Aggarwal faces both challenge and opportunity. On one hand, both the market and craze for electric vehicles are increasing in India. At the same time, Tesla is also facing challenges like high import duty, limited service network and budget due to being expensive.
The company is expecting Sharad to find a way through all these challenges and help Tesla establish itself in the premium electric mobility sector.
Who is Sharad Aggarwal?
Sharad Aggarwal has a lot of experience in this field. Before joining Tesla, Sharad served as the head of Lamborghini India for about 8 years. Sharad has been instrumental in establishing Lamborghini among the super-luxury cars in India.
He has also worked as the Chief Business Officer in the Classic Legends unit of Mahindra & Mahindra. During his work at Lamborghini, he helped establish the company in India. Not only did the sales of cars increase in the country, its identity also became quite popular, especially among the youth.
The company started from Mumbai
Tesla first opened its experience center in Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. After this the company opened its second center in Aerocity, Delhi. Tesla currently sells Model Y cars in India.
