Desi Moong Dal Laddu Recipe: Nowadays, it is safer to adopt traditional and natural options instead of expensive and chemical-rich protein supplements. Laddus made from desi ghee, whole moong, seeds and dry fruits provide plenty of protein, energy and immunity to the body. Housewife Pooja Devi told that laddus made of whole moong are not only delicious but also very beneficial for health. The ingredients required to make this laddu are one cup of whole moong dal, half cup of almonds, one fourth cup of raisins, two tablespoons of sesame seeds, two tablespoons of flaxseed, two tablespoons of pumpkin seeds, two tablespoons of sunflower seeds, jaggery powder as per taste, half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, desi ghee as per requirement.

First of all, wash whole moong with clean water and dry it completely. Now, in a heavy bottom pan, roast the moong well on low flame without ghee. When the moong turns light brown and aroma starts coming from it, then turn off the gas. When it cools down, grind it coarsely in a mixer.
Now lightly fry almonds, raisins, sesame seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and grind them in a mixer and mix them with moong powder. Now add jaggery powder and cardamom powder into it. Finally add desi ghee little by little and mix the mixture well. When the mixture starts binding, make medium sized laddus with your hands.
These laddus are naturally rich in high protein. It provides instant energy and strength to the body. Its consumption strengthens the digestive system and is beneficial for bones and muscles. It is helpful in increasing immunity. Consuming these laddus when you don’t feel like studying improves concentration and also increases appetite.
