Patna. Since the formation of the new government in Bihar, big announcements regarding jobs and recruitment have started in the state. In this sequence, the health department of Bihar has also become increasingly active. The restoration process for more than 26,000 posts in the health department in Bihar is going on at a rapid pace. According to the information, preparations for large-scale recruitment are in the final stages to overcome the shortage of doctors, nurses and technical staff in hospitals. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said, “This time we will work with double the hard work and dedication than before. The biggest goal for us is to fill the vacancies.”
More than 13,000 appointments will be completed by December
The Health Department said that the recruitment process for many important posts will be completed by December 2025. The selection process is in the final stage and according to the department, appointment letters will be issued within December.
Restoration on these posts
• General Medical Officer-663
• Dental Officer – 808
• Staff Nurse- 11,389
• Nursing Tutor- 498
Exam completed for technical posts, joining after result
The examination has been completed for a total of 12627 technical posts including pharmacist, lab technician in hospitals. The recruitment work will be completed as soon as the results are declared by BTSC. According to the Health Department, restoration of more than 26,000 posts is going to be completed soon.
Restoration of 7600 posts under NHM
The recruitment process will also be completed in the next 1 to 4 months through the National Health Mission (NHM).
• Eye Assistant – 220 posts
• AYUSH Medical Officer – 1504 posts
• ANM-5006 posts
That means a total of around 7600 appointments are going to be made.
Rapid expansion in AYUSH sector
The Health Department said that the AYUSH sector is also included in the priorities.
• 50 bed AYUSH hospital ready in Patna
• 50 bed AYUSH hospitals will be built in 7 districts.
• 10 bed hospitals will be built in 3 districts
• Eye examination facility available in 440 hospitals of the state
Apart from this, food arrangements in hospitals are being made through Jeevika Didis.
Country’s first 400 bed ortho hospital
A 400-bed super specialty orthopedic hospital is being built in the LNJP campus of Patna at a cost of Rs 215 crore. This will be the country’s first 400-bed ortho hospital and is likely to start in the next 3 months.
610 new health and wellness centers also ready
According to the Health Department, 610 new health and wellness centers will be dedicated to the public in the next three months, which will greatly strengthen the primary health services.
