Delhi Blast Case: In the blast that took place near Red Fort metro station, the court has sent Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan Ahmed, Adil Ahmed to judicial custody for 12 days. The explosion was so terrible that many vehicles were burnt to ashes and the glasses of nearby shops were shattered. 15 people lost their lives and many were injured in this explosion.
New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday presented four accused in the Patiala House Court in the car blast case near Red Fort metro station in the country’s capital Delhi. The accused include Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan Ahmed and Adil Ahmed. All these four accused were presented in the court after completion of their previous custody. The court has ordered to send all these four accused to judicial custody for 12 days.
NIA told the court that the accused Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Umar Nabi, Adil Ahmed, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan and Irfan Ahmed were together hatching a big conspiracy. According to the agency, the objective of this module was to spread unrest on a large scale in the capital and target sensitive places. Investigation also revealed that Dr. Umar Nabi had exploded the car.
The four main accused were produced in the court after the NIA custody ended, where a demand was made to extend the judicial custody on the basis of preliminary evidence collected against them. Considering the seriousness, the court sent everyone to judicial custody for 12 days.
Bilal Nasir, the fifth accused in this case, was also brought to the court, but the purpose of presenting him was different. NIA has sought permission to take voice samples from him, so that the intercepted calls and digital evidence related to the alleged conspiracy can be matched. According to the investigating agency, this matter is extremely sensitive and all aspects related to it are being thoroughly investigated. Security arrangements remained tight during the appearance in the court premises.
