Rich variety of homemade and Rajasthani pickles
While talking to Local 18, Pratima told that some of the pickles available at her stall are completely homemade, while some special pickles have been brought from Rajasthan. Mango Mix Pickle gives an excellent combination of carrots, chillies and mangoes. Apart from this, big and small cut mango pickle is also available, which tastes exactly like home.
Special identity of garlic pickle in Ambikapur
Pratima told that garlic pickle is the special identity of her stall, which is available in two types. One type is completely homemade, in which ground black pepper, ginger and other spices are added. Whereas, the second type is prepared with normal spices, in which lemon juice is added, which gives it a slight sourness. This is the reason why people like garlic pickle the most.
Spicy pickles from Rajasthan also available
Along with capsicum stuffed pickle, Athani red chilli and Athani green chilli pickles are also available at the stall. These pickles come exclusively from Rajasthan and are much spicier than the local chillies. These pickles have become a special favorite for spicy food lovers.
Why has the demand for special pickles like Lesua and Jackfruit increased?
Amla pickle, amla murabba, lemon pickle, garlic-ginger-chilli spicy pickle are also available at Pratima’s stall, which are prepared by completely grinding them. Apart from this, people are also liking Jackfruit pickle and Lesua pickle. Lesua is the fruit of Guhar Bhaji, whose pickle is not easily available in Ambikapur and is imported from outside.
Many varieties of papad are also available along with pickles.
Apart from pickles, many varieties of papad are also available at Pratima’s stall. These include sago papad, ragi papad, red chilli papad, potato papad, kasturi methi papad, garlic flavor papad, tomato papad and spicy and plain ragi papad, which people are liking very much with pickles.

Pratima told that she is local and regularly sets up her stall in events like Swadeshi Khadi Mahotsav, Meena Bazaar. Some of her pickles are made by her mother and sister at home, while she herself sells them standing at the stall. People’s preferences are different, but at present sweet pickle and garlic pickle are selling the most. Along with this, garlic-ginger-chilli and garlic pickle also remains a special favourite.
Know how to sell 4 to 5 thousand in half a day
Regarding earnings, Pratima said that due to good response, sales of Rs 4 to 5 thousand are made even in half a day. He said that people make mango pickle at home too, but people have a special craze for tasting the taste of different places.

Sonu, a pickle loving woman, told that she had come to the stall to buy pickles. After seeing the pickle, he first tasted it and then decided to buy it. According to Sonu, he especially liked garlic pickle and dry pickle. He said that these pickles seem to be made at home and are quite spicy in taste. Also, if anyone wants, they can make such pickles at home also.
