Pink bus service has been expanded for women passengers in Darbhanga, 11 new buses with modern facilities have been started on various routes, women conductors are also deployed.
Darbhanga: Giving priority to the safe and comfortable travel of women, the scope of Pink Bus service has been increased in the district. Till now two buses were being operated, but the district administration has expanded it and introduced 11 new buses on new routes. The routes of these buses have been decided and the permit process has also been completed. The passenger fare has been fixed between ₹20 to ₹30. Keeping in mind the safety of women passengers, modern facilities have been provided in the buses.
GPS systems, panic buttons, CCTV cameras and first aid boxes have been provided in the buses. Mobile charging facility will also be available in each bus. To provide a more safe environment to women, women conductors have been deployed in buses.
Route Details
The routes on which pink bus service has been started in the district include Darbhanga to Benipur, Darbhanga to Laheriasarai-Baheri, Darbhanga to Jale, Airport to Jaynagar, Jaynagar to Bhittha Mor, Darbhanga to Madhubani, Darbhanga to Kalyanpur, Darbhanga to Gaighat and other routes.
operation time
All buses will leave from Darbhanga between 7:00 am to 8:00 am, while the bus going from the airport to Jaynagar will be operated as per the flight landing. This service will provide safe and convenient travel option for women. Women will get a lot of comfort with the expansion of these buses.
