US Attack Foil: Pakistani-origin student Lukman Khan was arrested in Delaware, America, with heavy weapons, body armor and a notebook with the plan ‘Kill all – martyr’. In the FBI raid, Glock, an AR rifle that can be converted into an automatic machine gun, bullets and several magazines were found. Investigation is ongoing.
A surprising case has come to light from Delaware, America. Here a former student of the University of Delaware has allegedly been arrested with heavy weapons, dozens of rounds of bullets, body armor and a dangerous manifesto. Lukman Khan, 25, was caught just before midnight on November 24 when police found him sitting in his pickup truck in suspicious circumstances in a park. According to the officials, when the truck was searched after becoming suspicious about his behaviour, the view inside was shocking.
According to the New York Post report, police found a .357 Glock pistol, several loaded magazines of 27 rounds and body armor plates. According to the prosecution, this pistol was fitted in such a kit that it could function like a semi-automatic rifle. This makes it clear that this stockpile of weapons was not for any ordinary use. The Pakistani man has been caught after a few days ago an Afghan national attacked two National Guards near the White House. A notebook was found with this person, in which dangerous things were written.
What is written in the notebook?
The biggest concern has been raised by the notebook that was recovered with him. It contained handwritten notes containing an alleged plan to attack the University of Delaware Campus Police Department. The notebook also contained a drawn map of the headquarters, where entry and exit points were marked. Sentences like ‘kill everyone – martyrdom’ were written repeatedly in these notes. According to the report of ABC 6, it contained the strategy of escaping from the police after the attack, details of the weapons used and many such things which the police are calling ‘pre-planned attack planning’ and ‘warfare techniques’.
What did you say after the arrest?
After his arrest, Luqman reportedly said that becoming a martyr is one of the greatest things. For the police, this statement was going to further increase the seriousness of this alleged conspiracy. The name of a campus police officer was also included in the plans, but it is not yet clear why he was the target.
Who is Luqman?
Lukman was born in Pakistan, but has been living in America since childhood and is an American citizen. After his arrest, the FBI raided his Wilmington home and recovered more weapons from there. Officers found an AR style rifle with a red dot scope. Another Glock pistol was also found, which was fitted with an illegal device that turns it into a fully automatic machine gun. This weapon can fire up to 1,200 rounds in a minute.
What did Lukman’s neighbors tell?
The FBI also found 11 more extended magazines, bullets and a bulletproof vest. According to investigators, the cache of weapons found in the truck was only the beginning. The investigation is now trying to understand whether Lukman was working alone or someone else was also involved in this. None of the weapons found with him were registered. Neighbors said Khan was initially sociable, but in recent months he had become strangely ‘aloof’.
