Noida: The Bharat Utkarsh Mahayagya going on at Maharishi Ashram located in Sector 110 of Noida has attracted devotees and spiritual lovers from across the country and abroad. This Mahayagya is going on for 9 days and will be completed by 25th November. Meditation teacher Amrita, who had come from America especially to attend the Mahayagya, and Ajaya, who was playing an important role along with the learned Pandits, explained the grandeur and importance of this event in a very simple manner.
Amrita teaches meditation and Ayurveda at Maharishi University in America and in her PhD research, she is trying to understand the effects of meditation at the gene level. He says that meditation is not only beneficial for mental and physical health, but if we follow its scientific evidence then no fight and questions will arise.
Social media is a better platform to connect with the spiritual.
Amrita Srivastava while talking to Local 18 said that the Mahayagya is being organized in a very grand and well-organized manner. In the morning, devotees reach the Mahayagya and make offerings and in the afternoon, cultural tableaux, civilization and traditions of different states are performed.
Amrita said that after this, Pujya Shri Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj narrates Ramkatha and in the evening a laser light show is organised, in which the tableaus of Ramayana are displayed in a very attractive manner. Today’s young generation can easily access spiritual messages through social media and by using it in the right direction, our culture and civilization can be spread to more people quickly.
The consciousness of people in America and India is similar
Amrita Srivastava told that every day during the Mahayagya, a yagya is performed in the name of some deity or the other. Rangoli of a different God or Goddess of each day is made and the Gods are honoured. He said that this not only increases religious faith but also develops positive energy and consciousness in the society.
Amrita also shared that there is no difference between spirituality in America and India, but the way of adopting it may be different in both the places. Regular meditation practice of 20 minutes in the morning and evening is extremely beneficial for a person’s mental, emotional and social health. He told that the Mahayagya was started in the name of Ganesh, Lakshmi, Vishnu and other Gods and Goddesses and the Mahayagya is being performed continuously every day in the name of different Gods and Goddesses.
