New Aadhaar App: UIDAI has launched a new Aadhaar app which you can use for free. This app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It has facial recognition, biometric lock and QR code sharing. In this app, you can add Aadhaar of five family members in one phone. It is also very easy to download it.
New Aadhaar App Features: Now you will not need to carry paper Aadhaar card everywhere because UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has launched a new Aadhaar app which runs on smartphones. About 140 crore people of the country use Aadhaar and this app has brought a very easy and secure method for everyone.
This app is absolutely free and can now be downloaded from both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Now you can easily keep digital Aadhaar in your phone itself and show it whenever needed.
Facial recognition feature
According to the report of Times of India, the app has facial recognition technology. You can also apply biometric lock so that no one else can see your data. Sharing is done through QR code which strengthens privacy. In this app, you can add Aadhaar of five family members in one phone but everyone’s registered mobile number should be the same. This facility is very useful for the family members because there is no need to keep different phones.
What information do you want to share?
The special thing about the app is that you can choose what you want to share. Like show only name and photo or also complete address and date of birth. Be it a bank or a government office, verification is done immediately by scanning the QR code. Even if there is no internet, you can view the already saved Aadhaar. There is also an activity log in the app, which shows when and where your Aadhaar has been used. This further increases security.
How to download?
Now talking about download and setup, it is very easy. Go to Play Store or App Store, search for Aadhaar app, install it and open it. On opening the app, select your language then enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number. OTP will come on the registered mobile and verify it by entering it.
After that it is necessary to scan the face, this is called face authentication. Finally, set the 6 digit security PIN. With this your work will be done. Now digital Aadhaar is ready in the phone. You can open it whenever you want and share details as per your need.
You can still use the old mAadhaar app, but its function is different. The new Aadhaar app is meant to show everyday ID. With this, you can easily manage the Aadhaar of 5 people of your family and control privacy. Download e-Aadhaar PDF from mAadhaar, order PVC card, create virtual ID or update mobile email. Both the apps can be used together and do not replace each other. The new app is like a digital wallet and mAadhaar is for paper work. Both the apps are free and are official apps of UIDAI.
