According to the information, the police had gone to search for the criminal near Bishanpur of Mufassil police station, where he opened fire and in retaliation, the police shot Shikari Rai. Hunter Rai was seriously injured in this action. However, a police sub-inspector Suman Kumar is also injured in this firing. It is being told that Saran police was investigating the Azad Singh murder case when the SIT conducted a raid near Bishanpur and found Shikari Rai who started firing at the police.

According to Saran Police, Shikari Rai is not an ordinary criminal. He has been the mastermind of serious cases like murder, robbery and kidnapping in Chapra and surrounding areas. Shikari Rai’s real name is Nand Kishore Rai who is a resident of Akhtarpur, Garkha and father’s name is Ravindra Rai. After the encounter, the police have recovered two sophisticated pistols and three magazines from Shikari Rai, who had committed many criminal incidents in Chapra and surrounding areas.

SP Kumar Ashish told that Bhishma Rai was murdered in front of the police line on Sunday, whose CCTV footage also captured Shikari Rai. The police had reached Bishanpur in search of Shikari Rai where he started firing at the police and the police retaliated by shooting him. However, during this time, a police sub-inspector Suman Kumar got injured by bullet and his treatment is going on. According to the police, so far more than a dozen cases have been registered against Shikari Rai.
