Kannauj: Now there will be no need to wander in search of a private bus for weddings, family functions or picnics in Kannauj. Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, Roadways has started a new facility. Under which now even ordinary passengers will be able to book roadways bus easily. Under this, the bus fare has been fixed at Rs 27,800 for a distance of 400 kilometers and a period of 24 hours.
Special features of the scheme
A total of 96 buses operate at Kannauj depot, out of which select buses have been earmarked for this facility. Earlier, to book a roadways bus, people had to wait for a long process and approvals, due to which many times people became dependent on private vehicles. Now with the help of depot staff, all the booking formalities can be completed in a single day.

ARM Abhishek Bajpai said that this facility will prove to be a relief for the people of both rural and urban areas. This system will not only be helpful in social and tourism programs but will also promote safe travel. The depot administration says that this step will bring the roadways closer to the general public and will provide reliable and affordable transportation options to the passengers. Its demand is expected to increase significantly in the coming wedding and picnic season.
