Young cricketer Mohammad Izhar, resident of Thuthi village under Chhatapur block of Supaul district, has started making a special identity in the world of cricket on the basis of his hard work and struggle. Coming from a very ordinary family, Izhaar has proved that if the passion is true then circumstances cannot stop the path. Today his name is being taken among the emerging fast bowlers of Bihar.
Mohammad Izhar is a left-arm fast bowler and has played the role of net bowler for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. 21-year-old Izhar recently made his debut against Chhattisgarh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and caught everyone’s attention by performing brilliantly against Madhya Pradesh by taking 4 wickets.
Ijhaar’s journey has not been easy. His family is very weak financially. His mother Shabnam tells that Izhar had to listen to a lot of taunts in the society for playing cricket, but the son was confident that one day he would play international cricket. Mo. Izhar told that after leaving his native village, he lived in a rented house in Bhagat Mohalla in Veerpur so that he could practice cricket in Kosi Cricket Club.

Since childhood, Izhar was fond of playing cricket. The family wanted their son to concentrate on studies, but Izhaar was interested in the field only. Many times he had to endure the displeasure and beatings of his family, yet he continued going to learn and play cricket without telling them. This passion has become his biggest strength today.

Mayank, playing for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024, took 3 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs against RCB. Also made the record of throwing the fastest ball. Now the district and the state have similar big expectations from Mohammad Izhar.
