– Cabbage – 1 kg
-Rock salt – 1 cup
-Black mustard (rai) – 1 cup
-Fenugreek seeds – 2 tablespoons
-Mustard oil – 3 tablespoons
-Mustard, cumin, moong dal and gram dal – 1 tbsp (mix)
-Dry red chilli – 1 no.
-Garlic (ground) – 1 tablespoon
-Red chilli powder – 1 cup
-Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
-Lemon juice – 3 tablespoons
-Refined oil – 1 cup
How to make Cabbage Pickle
1. First of all, finely chop the cabbage and keep it in a big bowl. Grind rock salt and spices (roasted mustard and fenugreek) and make powder.
2. Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add some mustard seeds, cumin seeds, moong dal, gram dal, dry red chilli and ground garlic and fry for 2-3 minutes. This tadka is ready.
3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric, salt powder, masala powder and lemon juice to the bowl with cabbage and mix well. Then add ground mustard oil and mix again.
