Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana Bihar: The results of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have once again proved how powerful the NDA wave is. In the 243-seat assembly, the NDA achieved a strong majority by winning 202 seats, while the Grand Alliance was reduced to only 35 seats. This victory is so tremendous that it is certain that NDA government will be formed once again in Bihar. There is also a scheme of Nitish government which has played a very important role in the victory of NDA.
During the auspicious days of Navratri in September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big gift to Bihar of Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana. Through video conferencing, PM Modi himself transferred Rs 10,000 each to the bank accounts of 75 lakh women. In one click, the entire Rs 7500 crore directly reached the pockets of women. PM had said that this is not just money, this is the first step to make the mother power of Bihar self-reliant and this Rs 10,000 also became a reason for the victory of NDA.
What is Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme?
This scheme is actually a part of the livelihood project of the Bihar government. Its objective is to provide financial assistance to village women to start small businesses. Be it opening a shop, buying a sewing machine, rearing poultry, installing a spice grinding machine or starting a handicraft business, the government provides financial assistance for all these. In the first phase, initial assistance of Rs 10,000 has been given to every woman. If she continues her work continuously for six months, she can get additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh.
Which women got the benefit?
Only the women of Bihar and those who are associated with Jeevika self-help group have benefited from this. So far 75 lakh women have joined these groups. These groups are formed in the village itself where 10-15 women save together and start their work by taking small loans. 18 types of businesses have been selected under the scheme. Grocery shop, tea shop, beauty parlor, goat rearing, mushroom farming, making incense sticks – a woman has full freedom to do whatever work she is good at. The first installment of Rs 10,000 has been given to all the women. Now women who continue their work for six months will get assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh in the second installment.
How to apply for Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana?
First of all, contact Jeevika Didi of your village and join the self-help group.
After this, fill the form and submit it to the village organization.
For this, you will have to upload Aadhar card, residence certificate of Bihar, copy of bank passbook, passport size photo and membership form of Jeevika group.
The best thing about this scheme is that the money comes directly into the woman’s account. The government plans to add lakhs more women in the coming time. Earlier the women of the village were dependent on men for running the household, now with the help of this scheme they are doing their own business and earning good income every day. Women of Bihar are getting empowered by this scheme and because of this scheme, the possibility of NDA’s victory increased further.
